Colton on MTV’s The Hills, 3×11 “No More Mr. Nice Guy”

Our skateboarding guards party at the empty mall. In the right place at the right time, Ron happens upon the rapist as he brutally accosts a girl. Ron beats him to a frazzle and runs away. Burning rubber, Stella is pummelled by paintballs and crashes her car. Coked up and fuelled by rage, she hits Ron while speeding off to bail Tom out.

At the TV station, Bob, the station director, calls Dan into a meeting. Bob shows Dan a tape of he and Armani at the strip club. Dan is stunned and offers a feeble excuse.

Hannah, Molly and Shane continue to wreak havoc into the night like mindless teens. Molly discovers the tape of Hannah and Shane having sex. Sickened, she leaps out of Shane’s car and hails taxi. As Shane, Hannah and friends are joy riding they paintball the wrong car. A gun comes out the window. And it’s all caught on tape.

Just when all seems lost for Willie, he gets a visit from a hipster record exec who likes his music.

Officers Munson and Lewis run into a foul-mouthed character during a routine traffic stop and thanks to surveillance cameras, Stella is caught shoplifting clothes at the mall. She is livid and does not go quietly into the good night.

Hannah, who is an accomplished dancer, causes trouble at her ballet class for another girl. Hannah gets off on creating problems for others. Late one night, Hannah, Molly, and some other teens head to a strip club, the same one Andy frequents

That night, Andy, pretending to befriend Dan, convinces him to loosen up. Reminding Dan that he’s a single guy in his prime, they go out for a drink together. Dan is surely up to something.

As our tapestry of characters continue to betray each other, Leonard convinces Stella that he’s working late at the office.

The Iraq War, as seen solely through the eye of a soldier’s helmet cam depicts basic training, the boredom of dessert drills, the terror of an ambush and the camaraderie between fellow grunts. War is hell. A massive rescue mission goes off without a hitch until a sniper’s bullet hits our soldier.

Our camera’s POV sees the bullet come straight at us. As another soldier cradles our wounded man to the ground we suddenly see his face through the other soldier’s cam. We recognise his face. Camera dissolves to present day to find Ron our homeless asleep on a bench and he is the soldier that was shot in the throat. Once a hero, now a bum.

Meanwhile we learn that Paige, our waxer, and Courtney, Leonard’s assistant, are lesbian lovers. They fall out over Courtney’s issues with jealousy.

Vinnay, our Indian security guard is forced to confront his parents over the Indian tradition of arranged marriages, a concept he feels is outdated and Willie’s casino rat Father tries desperately to win back his son’s reward money after having blown it all at the track.

Willie and Carl find footage of Amanda dancing and touching some guy while scanning the tapes for shots of the concert. Carl reminds Willie he never trusted Amanda and it’s time to send her packing, and as the hot, steamy night blankets LA, Ron dives into a seedy motel swimming pool for a late night cleansing.

Finally, Shane and Molly go out on their first date. They laugh and talk and enjoy being together. Knowing Molly doesn’t intend to “put out”, a conniving Hannah invites Shane over after his date for a sex filled romp.

Andy continues his after hours’ trysts with Armani, where she learns that he has a baby son. She tells him about her frightening experience at the mall when her son went missing. Briefly, these two night sinners have something in common besides sex for sale.

Andy and Dan have another blow up when Dan realises how stupid he looked on the weather broadcast after his new hip make-over. Dan is winning this battle.

Though the concert is successful, Willie is still pissed that no execs came. Carl calms him down by suggesting they make a music video of the concert. He saw some kid taping it. Or better still, they’ll edit a video by using the footage from the many security cameras in the store.

At school Leonard and Stella have a meeting with Balthazar’s teacher concerning his unseemly behaviour and it becomes contentious between these mismatched parents.

At the high school Hannah and Molly surreptitiously text each other right under the teacher’s nose about Molly’s first date with Shane. Hannah’s motives are always suspect.

Ron is released from jail only to unashamedly smoke more crack in front of police headquarters. Officers don’t notice as Ron turns a corner to find refuge for his dirty habit.

A jail cot offers Ron relief from the mean streets, and gossip-loving teens Hannah and Molly chitchat about Shane on iChat using sexual lingo.

Once again, Stella leaves her kids waiting at the curb because she’s too lost in a coked up, sexcapade to pick them up after school. Cheating on Leonard has become a nasty diversion for her.

Dan, wanting to become a news anchor after years of doing the weather, is angry that Andy is standing in his way. Andy tells Dan that he’s old school, out-of-touch. Today’s TV viewers are modern, savvy, and Dan needs to pep up his image for this “hipper” audience. Truth be told, Andy wants Dan gone.

At the mall, the security guards continue to look like they’re working when they’re actually gawking at pretty girls in the dressing rooms, whilst Shane and his friends pick up Hannah and Molly to take them to the mini-mart concert. The place is transformed with chairs, a few reserved for record execs who never show. In spite of it, Willie gives a kick-arse performance.
